Lastly, Frank Welker, a long-time voice actor, is brought back to Warner Bros. to voice for Scooby. Previously in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, it was Welker who was the voice of this goofy dog.

Warner Bros. is also planning to enlarge the Scooby universe significantly by adding new pieces from the world of Hanna-Barbera. These add-ons include Captain Caveman acted by Tracy Morgan and the main protagonist in the story, voiced by Dick Dastardly.

Originally, the film was planned to come to theatres in the fall of 2018. Unfortunately, due to delays it was rescheduled to be released during spring, on March 15, 2020.

Additionally, Dora the Explorer is coming back to theatres as Dora and the Lost City of Gold. But in contrast to the TV show, the little girl from the original series will be challenged by a new obstacle: high school. Dora will be played by Isabela Moner, Eva Longoria and Michael Peña were cast as her parents, and Jeffrey Wahlberg was chosen as the actor for Diego, Dora’s cousin.
